The League
We run two leagues in a year. Since partners in the weekly sessions are selected and are different each time, each person gains an individual score in the overall league. We try to structure the league so it rewards improvement at least as much as experience. While some commitment is required to improve rapidly, we also have the league set up so that you can miss a few sessions without having a significant negative impact on your score.
Points are calculated based on performance in our weekly sessions. Points are awarded according to the following rules:- One point for each goal scored
- Seven additional points for each win
- Each player will have the points from their worst two sessions (out of eight in the league) discounted. Allowing players to have an 'off week' or miss a session or two without losing out.
The final standings for the spring/summer league with the two lowest week's score discounted are on the right, congratulations to Andrew Nubbert who takes home the trophy, and also well done to Chris Lyall, the highest ranked fresher.
