The League

Over the past few years we've run two leagues a year, of various formats. As we're still getting used to a new venue, we're giving the league a rest for the moment, but you can check out its highs and lows on this page.

Since partners in the weekly sessions are selected and are different each time, each person gains an individual score in the overall league. We try to structure the league so it rewards improvement at least as much as experience. While some commitment is required to improve rapidly, we also have the league set up so that you can miss a few sessions without having a significant negative impact on your score.

• One point for each goal scored
• Seven additional points for each win
• Each player will have the points from their worst two sessions (out of eight in the league) discounted. Allowing players to have an 'off week' or miss a session or two without losing out.

In 2009 we gave the league a rest and focused on casual, fun weekly sessions. However, it may return soon - watch this space!
